April's Show and Tell

My Romantic Blog is hosting a show and tell Friday. I was very excited to learn this and knew instantly what I planned on showing.
When I was a child an older black lady at our church looked after me alot. She would keep me when my mom worked or was sick. I grew to love her so strongly. I called her "Grandma" her name was Minniola Adams. She always had bread pudding out of the oven at her house, jars and jars of juices.... She was a wonderful woman. Shortly before she passed away she gave me this mirror. I have always treasured it.
I don't know how old it is or it's origins. I would LOVE to know more about it. If you have any ideas please let me know. I am eager to learn anything I can about it.

This mirror is small.... about inches total. I think it's made of some brass. The handle is intricately carved. One side has a mirror and the other side has this tiny piece of material embroidered or needle point floral design. The other side is a mirror. It is just beautiful!

Another view.

The mirror. You can see the beautiful hand work on the handle in this picture.
I love this little mirror and always keep it put away safe. I would love to know how old it is. She gave me the mirror about fifteen years ago.
If you have any idea about how old this is or any information at all please leave me a message.
Thank you so much for stopping by my blog!

Love your mirror. My mom used to always have a mirror similar to yours on her dresser. Yours is gorgeous and the meaning behind it makes it even more special.

Hope you have a great weekend!
