Rednesday - Tomato & Basil Salad

Today is Wednesday..or if you visit Sue over at It's A Very Cherry World, it's Rednesday!

My red for today is this....

The salad I made for dinner. It's a family favorite... when we want something light for dinner we usually whip this up!
Fresh roma tomatoes, fresh chopped mozarella and fresh basil....
toss in some basalmic vinegar and olive oil...and if you're like me... a little salt!
And what would the salad be without some delicious bread to pair it with?
Check Spelling I can't believe half the week is over! Time is just flying by!!
How can I get fall to hurry up? I am so over this heat!! The heat index everyday is over 100!! Enough all ready!
Thanks so much for stopping by! Visit Sue and all the other participants here!

I agree that fall can not come soon enough.
Enjoy the rest of your week.

Those plates look beautiful filled with that salad. I was thinking all it needs is some bread to sop up all the tomato juice and dressing! Then wa-la, there's the bread!

Now I know why there are so many pomegranate trees in our area! Fresno, CA is only an hour away and it's been home to a large Armenian population for a long time. On of their most famous citizens was writer William Saroyan. They even named a wonderful theater that is part of the convention center after him.

Glad you came by. I know we've visited before but I have such a hard time keeping up with everyone lately.

Dawn

April....HI, I’, Genie from over at buttonsforbaga. Thanks so much for stopping by. I got such a kick out of your comment, because I was always getting into trouble. I was the “baby”....born 12 years after my “perfect” big sister to parents in their late 40’s. By kindergarten they had decided I needed to be with the Dominican nuns so I ended up in Catholic school for the duration. I do try to make this place positive, and so all I can to be an advocate for these little one that do not fit in middle school for whatever the reason. I love your salad because Romas are my favorites. I think I am going to give yours a try tonight.....it just looks just toooooo yummy. Yep..today is hump day and the week is going to be over before we know it.

Hugs,
Genie

This salad looks delicious, and has all of my favorites in it: basil, mozzarella cheese and tomatoes! And it sounds like it's very easy to make. I could eat this for breakfast, lunch and dinner!
Happy REDnesday!

your post for rednesday looks very yummy!

Dandelion and Daisy

There is nothing like home grown fresh tomatoes. Tonight we had ours with Feta cheese, but mozzarella is good too. Thanks for stopping by my blog, it's nice to meet you.
