Pink Saturday - Homestead Handcrafts

I am sharing my second (and last) part of Homestead Handcrafts for Pink Saturday. They have such wonderfully cute things I had to break it up in two posts...it honestly could have been about 3 or 4 but I don't have tons of time, so ths post is a pic overload!! You can see all the Reds here...

When you walk in Homestead you see aisles of this.....

I was so happy that for once I didn't have to rush through there, hence all my pictures, I was able to take my time and enjoy all that they had to offer.

I found these cute little signs with the cutest little sayings. I've been on the look out to get my sweet friend Gala something different. This sign says, "If friends were shoes, I'd buy you in every color." This is on my list to give her.

This sign fits me to a "T". In fact, I'm drinking my coffee right now!

And this is sure to go in Gala's basket. She just turned 50 this year (though you would never know) and I like to tease her about it.

This display is my favorite. It's done by a local artist and I LOVE her 3-D work. It is simply amazing. I wish so badly my girls were still in that "baby" stage so I could put art work like this in their rooms... they laughed at me when I suggested it! Oh well....
~~~~~~~
This particular one is my favorite. I honestly think I may have to just purchase it for myself. I have no idea where I would put it. It would hate for it to end up in the top of my closet with my other original art pieces I've purchased over the years.
This is my next favorite...AND....she would match great in my living room!
This didn't have a lot of pinks but it did have things I have really been getting into, crowns and keys!
It's just too bad everything there was too expensive. I did fall in love with these bird book ends. I love the look and style and think they would look excellent on the entertainment center!
This booth had some really neat things, again not much white but too cute not to include.
I love the torn sheet music. It just reminds me of "Phantom of the Opera" for some reason.
And how cute is this.... grade cards from 1930! When I saw Charles Le Sage was promoted to the low 3rd I thought, "Ouch... that's gotta hurt!"
I loved this set of ladies. I think they used to be lamps but the pink flowers definitely make for a conversation piece, very whimsical and feminine!
This lamp would be adorable in a little girls room!! I love, love, love the black and white striped base!
And they have fun jewelry displays. I just love the big chunky necklaces and big earrings to dress up plain tees or sundresses during the summer.
I. WANT. THIS. MIRROR!!!!
Another cute mirror....
I have no idea where I would put this bench, but I want it too!!
I love going to Homestead Handcrafts to look around. Items change very often, so if you see something you like it's best to get it before it's too late!
I plan to stay inside and out of the heat. Our airconditioner in the house died on us Thursday night. We were miserable!! It was 85 in the house with the ceiling fans on and the windows open. It didn't help much that we were sitting at almost 90 by midnight. Just miserable. Luckily we called someone Friday morning and $110 later he had our air fixed and the house was cooling off. I think the heat really got to us. We drank more than we ever had and slept most of the afternoon.
~~~
Lena's school books came yesterday. She's not too happy but I think 5th grade will be great for her! I am so excited to this year of homeschooling!! I have big plans for us!
~~~
Ok, that's it. I want to go check out more Pink Saturday posts!!
Have a great weekend!
What a great shop. And I'm glad your AC is working again. I fear I would be so cranky no one would even want to be around me. I've had so many ?'s about my lady. She is actually a headvase. There are many different ones. They are known as cameo girls.
Stay cool
...& I just wanted to say thank you so much for your kind comment of the art I do, on sweet LV's post. You mentioned having the art genes skip by you...My mom was very musically inclined and my hubby is very musically gifted...thank goodness our three kids got those music genes :o) I make a joyful noise :o) So happy to meet you! I lived in San Antonio when I was in 4th and 5th grade. Loved those memories there as a kid...
