Pink Saturday - Giant Apple

It's Saturday...which means it's another fun pink party at Beverly's beautiful blog, How Sweet The Sound! I always look forward to PS! Even if I'm not participating I make my cup of coffee and settle in at the computer looking through all the pretty pinks!
Today I wanted to share this giant apple CC found at the grocery store. These pictures are actually from November 11 and she wanted me to post it but I never did. Bad MOM!!
Anyway, this organic apple was nearly a pound! I placed it beside a regular sized apple so you can get the full effect!

Then my baby had an idea..... and it was just for my blog!

She was onto something....

A heart....

The other night Charlie wanted to make sure Tobi and Luigi didn't get anywhere near me. So as we watched the original Children of The Corn, Charlie plopped down on the arms of the sofa AND my chair!

Thursday night we made a fast run to Wal-Mart (Lena's entertainment center and new outlet) and on the way home we went through the car wash (no rain in sight for quite a while). It was late at night and my phone has no flash but I love Lena's expression here as she was waiting for the pink foam to cover the car!

AANNNDD..... we were invited over to Lisa's house last Saturday. I picked up a bottle of wine for us... I remembered that she had once given me a moscato and I really liked it! I was so happy to find this one, yes, I liked the bottle! It's hand painted by the way! But my goodness...it has honestly got to be THE BEST wine I have ever tasted!! Hands down!! I can't even begin to tell you how smooth and sweet and wonderful it is! There is a low alcohol content and you can really enjoy the crisp taste of the grapes....superb!

CC and I were out running errands on Wednesday so I swung by and picked a bottle up for myself. I made Chicken Parmagiana Thursday night and this moscato paired perfectly with it! IF you can find this goodie in your store...PICK IT UP!! You will be so glad you did!

Earlier this week I turned my blog private.... and I will probably go back private very soon. I just wanted to do one more PS post. I do have a similar account with another blog service and will be transferring everything over there. I'm trying to figure out how to post photos to that blog...not too easy! I almost gave up on blogging with blogger because I had such a hard time posting photos. Once I got the hang of it, it was a piece of cake! Now let's hope I can get the hang of it over there!!

I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend! It's warm here..feels like spring! I wish we had some good, cold winter weather but I don't see that happening anytime soon. On the plus side I am invited to a wedding today. My friend is FINALLY marrying her long time boyfriend! It's a small but intimate ceromony, only a handful of close friends. I feel so honored she invited me!

Have a wonderful weekend and Happy Pink Saturday!

Hi April, oh I understand about the private blog stuff, I have a couple of friends who have felt the need to do that temporarily, they actually started up a new blog that was private, then went back to their old blog when they felt the time was right, just a thought..
That is ONE big apple...
I would love to follow you at the private blog, feel free to email me the info if you are comfy with that:)

Wow! That is one huge apple! I have a number of varieties of apples in my little orchard, but I've never found anything that large on one of my trees.

I'm visiting from Pink Saturday, and I just joined you as a follower.

Please be sure to come by and enter my fantastic year-end giveaway, too. Click the picture in my sidebar for details.

Blessings,

Thanks for visiting my blog and commenting. I guess I am not sure how to turn a blog private. I love comments too much.
Thank you for sharing.
Happy Pink Saturday!

I never realized there was that much difference in those two different apples. I would never be able to eat one of the organic ones.

Hi April,

Nice to meet you! Thanks for coming by my blog, and for the sweet comments. The trees you asked about are decorated with vintage buttons. I have seen them decorated with everything from buttons to vintage jewelry. I will surely post a tutorial if I make one. You can spray paint a cone shape styrofoam piece or cover it with fabric. Then just pile on whatever you like! have a blessed holiday season.

That is one HUGE apple. Never seen one quite that big, so that was interesting to see. Don't ask me why, but I have always had a fascination with the car wash. Nope, it obviously doesn't take much to entertain me. My mom is claustrobic, so those things scare her though. I understand needing privacy, so I'm sure everyone knows that you need to do what's right for you. :) Good luck in getting things straightened out.
