I think it's here...

It sure feels like its here.
Lately the weather has been so beautiful, cool, crispness in the air....just really beautiful. Dare I say Fall is here?

I am ready for the colors, smells, textures and coziness of Fall!

The girls and I have been busy in the kitchen cooking and baking. The last days of September we made Stuffed Mushrooms,

My super delicious Praline Apple Bread..

And Chicken Parmesan. There is something about the cooler weather that makes me want to cook and bake.
When the weather turned cooler Mom would always make homemade chili and cornbread. This will be the first fall I'm not sitting at her white tiled table enjoying it. This change in weather is really making me miss her. It was her favorite time of the year.
My friend Andy emailed me about the Harvest Moon Saturday night. When the girls and I went for our walk we were floored at its beauty. I snapped these photos with my phone but I was wishing I had a better camera.

Though it was late, we three girls laid down on the driveway, looked up and watched the clouds sail quickly past the moon. It was breathtaking.

I am so ready to say goodbye to summer... Saturday we had rain and I thought it appropriate to light some candles...

Sip some coffee....

And just have fun blog hopping while the house slept.
---------------
Earlier in the week we bought some groceries and fruits. Toby and Bella went crazy on the plums... It was the cutest thing I've ever seen.

I guess I better sigh off for today. The cats are hungry and I have to shower and get ready for work.... At least Starbucks is open today!! I will definitely pick me up something good before walking over to my desk!

Happy October First!!

Our summers here are so short that it's hard to say goodbye to them. But I do always look forward to snuggling up next to the fireplace with coffee and a movie when there's snow falling outside.
