Since she would be testing, CC thought it would be a good idea to fill Lena up with oatmeal and fresh fruit. We went to the grocery store last night but all of their bananas were green, so that was out. We opted for fresh strawberries instead. Strawberries are always good!!
My baby got up and got dressed and was ready to go. She was a little nervous but we knew she would do good!!
We had to drop her off at the testing center and go back around 12 to pick her up. So, in the meantime we went to Danny's and had THE BEST tacos for breakfast. This little Mexican restaurant is near where I used to work and was always a favorite place of ours to visit. After breakfast we filled up the oxygen tank and set out to find a pet store. Papa Bear has been wanting an African Grey bird. We didn't find the bird but we did see lots of beautiful fish....
Papa Bear saw an albino California king snake there that he has his heart set on. I don't know about a snake coming to live with us, but he is very allergic to our cats. He's tolerated them for almost 11 years. I guess I could tolerate a snake for him, as long as it's not a constrictor and it's not venomous!!

On a sad note, I think my car is dying on me. It's paid off and I LOVE not having a car payment. But the truth is, it's got over 250,000 miles on it, it's been a wonderful car for us and I think it might be time to turn her in. I am so sad about that. She is the first car I paid off and kept. But it's getting to the point that I almost can't afford to drive it!! I put in $35 in gas Saturday. Yesterday Papa Bear put in $30 and today he put in another $25. I can't keep up with this!!! I need to win the lottery to keep my car filled up. She has other problems, front end alignment issues, leak somewhere in the break line. It's just time. I know it. I guess I need to start looking.

Another note.... my mother in law is probably, more than likely going to move in with us in September. I am actually a little excited about it. (Ask me again how I feel in October! Ha!!) She and I get along really good and I love her and the girls love her. She is a wonderful lady. We blend well. We love to cook, decorate, drink hot tea together...you name it!! It will definitely be a big change. I am used to being the chief in the kitchen. I am not used to sharing my husband or my kids or the little time I have. But we are family and I am sure it will work out just fine. I'm just lucky we get along as great as we do.

I am still planning on hosting another giveaway. I am looking for the right item(s). I want to do it soon!!! So be on the lookout, hopefully by the end of the week something good will be on here!

Hope Lena's test went well. Looks like most everyone in your family is taking tests...lol...That will be wonderful when your mil moves in because you all are so busy I'm sure she'll feel needed besides being loved. I wish my mil would move in since hubby always says my food doesn't taste like his mother used to make. I'd give her the kitchen.
We had the writing TAKS yesterday too! Had to take Olivia to DQ after for the celebration. :) Good luck with the MIL move in, my MIL and I do not click (she doesn't really click with her son either, so I am safe) so that would never present itself. I hope school is becoming more routine for you!
